A Rum Fellow

We are absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been awarded the much coveted prize for best new product launch at this years Decorex show. The prize was awarded for our new Brocade Collection. The award was secretly judged by much celebrated interior designers Mark Gillette, Suzy Hoodless, and Staffan Tollgard. The prize itself is a beautiful sculpture by Phil Cuttance. Decorex is the leading luxury design show in the UK  and with so much incredible design on display it was a real honour to have our brocade collection selected. Thank you judges!

Bespoke Textiles for Casa Andita

A Rum Fellow

We designed and produced authentic Andean textiles for a brand new Soho restaurant Casita Andina by Martin Morales owner of the very successful Ceviche & Andina. The brief was to deliver a balance of traditional design with added a contemporary style, whilst keeping the fabric durable enough for a demanding commercial setting - no easy feat! Designed in London and ethically hand woven by Andean weavers through Awamaki, a fantastic social social enterprise based in Peru that empowers rural Andean women by connecting them to global markets. We designed fabric for the banquette seating backs, textiles inserted into tables, the exterior sign, as well as custom lampshades.

Some images of the sign we designed & made for new Soho restaurant Casita Andina. Authentic artisan textiles designed in London and handwoven by Peruvian social enterprise Awamaki. It looks great from the street and perfectly compliments our contemporary take on traditional textiles throughout the restaurant.

Lumiere London Festival

A Rum Fellow

The first light festival has just closed and here we share a few highlights. The 4 night exhibition was spread across a few key areas of London, closing off roads so people could roam the streets and enjoy the installations. It was a brilliant event and I look forward to next years!  You can see more on the Lumiere Website here.

Here are a few highlights...

Selvedge Magazine

A Rum Fellow

We were thrilled to have been interviewed by Ptolemy Mann for the beautiful Selvedge Magazine. The glowing quote below has made us blush! Such an honour, especially from someone who we have so much respect for.

"A Rum Fellow are spearheading the use of elegant hand-crafted textiles woven with great integrity, luscious detail and dazzling colour. The beauty is in the complex patterning paired with minimal shapes and form. This is the most timeless, meaningful and socially responsible cloth for contemporary interiors you can buy."
