A RUM FELLOW marked 10 years of design with a collection of rugs that dig deep into the studio’s decade-long artisanal craft roots and celebrate the graceful magic of the maker.

Inspired by the enduring legacy of the Arts & Crafts movement and its emphasis on celebrating the fine details of craft, each of the six new designs in the Tekton collection explore the intricate nuances of handmade processes, from the smallest joins to the graceful forms found in architectural details.

With a commitment to ethical sourcing and production, the rugs are hand woven using the finest natural and renewable wool, ensuring both durability and luxurious softness.

“For this collection I delved into what makes craft special to me personally, those small connections inherent in crafted objects, a dovetail join or stitched detail, or elements of an architectural column. I relish in these details, they are both practical and quietly beautiful.

A RUM FELLOW has always been about pattern and the positive feelings it can give to you and that hasn’t changed. What has evolved over the last decade is how I use colour, how I explore the properties of weave and develop the flow of the rug patterns and how I want people to feel when they walk over the pieces.”
