HAND KNOTTED RUG COLLECTION
A RUM FELLOW introduces Elsewhere, a collection of otherworldly rug designs that tiptoe between realms of consciousness. Beyond the ethereal aesthetics lies a profound story of social consciousness
The designs explore symbols of moons, leaves, ladders and waves as gentle storytelling devices. Rendered in abstract, sketched forms, these motifs remain intentionally open to interpretation, familiar enough to recognise, yet elusive enough to feel drawn from another world. Elsewhere invites you to tune into a consciousness just beyond our own.
Hand knotted in a pioneering Kathmandu facility engineered for universal access for people with disabilities, the collection proves that world class craft flourishes when the loom is made accessible to everyone.

VEIL
Like a storytelling journey, Veil brings disparate memories and imagined landscapes floating into focus. Familiar forms emerge and recede, creating a design that feels both connected and elusive. The composition unfolds like a story revealed in fragments, where individual moments gather to create something greater than the sum of their parts.

THE WEAVERS’ STORY
At A RUM FELLOW, every rug begins long before it reaches your home. In this five minute film, we take you inside Nepal's first fully accessible carpet weaving facility, the workshop behind our Elsewhere Collection, to meet the artisans who bring it to life.
Filmed on location in Kathmandu, hear directly from the weavers themselves: their skill, their stories, and the pride behind every knot. It's a glimpse at the people and the place proving that world class craft flourishes when the loom is made accessible to everyone.
DESIGN WITH PURPOSE
“The beauty of Elsewhere lies in its dual nature, a design forward collection supporting a radical model of inclusion. We are shifting the focus from limitations to capabilities. This is design with purpose, creating a workspace where every artisan has the tools and respect to build their own future.”
