Terms & Conditions Of Sale

 

Please read and understand the Terms and Conditions below before placing an order. You will be bound by the terms once an order is placed. In addition to reading and accepting our Terms and Conditions of Sale customers agree to read all our policies, these include Privacy Policy, and our Delivery and Returns policy.

Order Placement

To place an order you must provide your name, address, email address and submit your credit / debit card number, card expiry date, and security number. Without this information we cannot process your order. We ask for a contact telephone number so we can contact you if there is an issue with your order. In some instances we may pass on your contact details if a delivery company needs to contact you. All international orders have to have a telephone contact number for delivery company purposes. Once we have processed your order and provided an order confirmation, we will prepare your goods for delivery. Your order confirmation will include a unique order number, please quote this number in correspondence with us relating to the order. We reserve the right to reject any order at any time.

Cancellation

You are entitled to cancel your order provided you do so within 7 working days after the day on which you receive the products. If your order has already been despatched please follow the procedure set out in our Returns Policy. If you want to cancel an order prior to order despatch, please contact our customer services department on general@arumfellow.com.
 

Returns

We hope that you will be pleased with your purchase, however you may return your order within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Please note refunds cover the products ordered and do not include postage paid. 

Prices & Payment

All prices on the website are in Pound Sterling (£ GBP). These prices exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due. Payment for all goods must be made in advance by credit or debit card at the time of ordering. To be eligible to purchase products from A Rum Fellow website you must:
- Provide your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information
- Be over 18 years of age
- Provide a valid delivery address within the regions we deliver to (see Delivery & Returns policy). Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable
- Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us
- Confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. 

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card does not authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. By agreeing to buy a product, you authorise us to transmit your information to, and to obtain information about you from, third parties in order to authenticate your identity and payment. In the event of a delay in payment we may cancel or suspend any other outstanding order until you have paid the due amounts. 

In the unlikely event of a pricing error on any item, we will contact you to rectify the issue. We reserve the right to modify incorrectly priced items after sale. We may refuse to process any order or service at any time.

Promotional codes can be used on our website checkout only. Only one offer code at a time can be used. Gift vouchers and sale items are excluded from offers.

Description

All products are sold subject to the specific product description. All reasonable care is taken by A Rum Fellow to ensure the product details and description are accurate when they are entered on to the system. Textiles, rugs, and and all finished products are handcrafted and as such may have inconsistencies, variances in colour, shade, pattern, or size within tolerance of their technique. 

Items described as ‘vintage’, ‘upcycled’, or ‘repurposed’ are goods that have been previously used or constructed from previously used materials. The condition of these items is not new and therefore by nature they may show signs of wear or ageing. By agreeing to purchase such an item the buyer understands and accepts that the goods are not as new and may show signs of wear and ageing. The images shown are for illustration purposes only, occasionally the description may not be a true reflection of the goods purchased. Many products are photographed or shown with additional props, these are not included in the sale of the product. Please refer to product description for relevant information. 

Limitation of Liability

Our liability to you under these terms and conditions will not exceed the total value of the order. Neither of us shall be responsible for loss of income, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, or any waste of time. We will not be liable for any defect in the goods arising from: fair wear and tear; wilful damage; accident; negligence by you or any third party; your using the goods in a way that we or the manufacturers do not recommend; your failing to follow the manufacturer’s and/or our instructions; or from any alteration or repair you carry out without our prior written approval. We accept no liability for any offence you may suffer as a result of the goods as you are deemed to have satisfied yourself of the nature and type of goods to be purchased before placing an order with us. 

Events Beyond Our Control: We cannot be held liable if events that are beyond our control affect our ability to meet these terms. We will make all reasonable efforts to deliver our service, but we may extend our delivery times in these circumstances. Such events include (but not limited to) industrial, civil, military or terror action, fire, natural disaster, interruption of transport or communication networks, and failure by our suppliers to supply the goods to us. If we have been unable to overcome such an event within 6 weeks we are entitled to cancel your order providing a full refund and without any further penalty.

Assignment: You may not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these terms to another person without our prior written consent, which we will not withhold unreasonably. We can transfer all or any of our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights under these terms.

Jurisdiction: The contract between us and these terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales , and any dispute arising under them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Copyright: All copy, photographs, graphics, logos, illustrations and any text used in conjunction with any media from A Rum Fellow, in particular the contents of this website, are subject to copyright. Any unauthorised copying, will constitute an infringement of copyright.

We reserve the right to vary or withdraw these terms from time to time as we see fit.
