design HIGHLIGHT | A RUM FELLOW | Teja & Manati: Rugs to Fall For
Two of our most tactile, hand-knotted rugs, Teja and Manati, are now available in a selection of new colourways — soft, luminous tones, rich in texture and subtle charm.
TEYA
Teja takes its name from the Sanskrit word for brilliance and radiance, a reflection of the shimmering hand-cut silk chevron that travels across a soft wool background. The 3 mm pile is consistent and luxuriously tactile, allowing the motif to catch the light with every movement. New shades — Fresco, Celadon, and Marron — join the existing Copper, offering subtle ways to bring warmth, light, and intimacy to a space.

MANATI
Manati is softer and meandering, a serene maze of silk flowing across a neutral wool base. Its design can be customised as a smooth hand-cut 3 mm surface or as a raised silk pile over looped wool, creating a gentle contrast of textures. The new colourways — Hearth, Meadow, Chestnut, Thicket, Powder, and Damson — complement the existing Earth and Duckegg, offering depth, layering, and a quiet sense of luxury.

Both rugs are crafted in Nepal, using hand-spun Tibetan wool and silk, and are Goodweave certified, honouring the artisan skill and ethical practices behind every knot. Each piece is made to order (lead time: 18 weeks) and can be customised in colour, size, and technique, creating a rug to cherish — to live with, to fall for.
Fall in love with Teja and Manati, rugs designed for an understated sense of romance — softer textures, refined tones, and the kind actility that transforms a space into one that feels intimate, layered, and quietly beautiful.
